Shape of the BeastsArticle written by Kranar DroginShape of the Beasts is a Transmutation spell that a Mage or Sorcerer may cast to temporarily give a person an animal form. All abilities that the person has are lost, but they do gain all the abilities of the creature they take the form of. The transformed person must have an item that anchors their thoughts that they were once human, and if lost the person may stay the creature they were turned into until killed. If the caster of the spell cast it upon them, they do not need an item. Shape of the Beasts will need a bit of fur, a feather, or a reptile scale, the caster must say the spell correctly, and complete the appropriate hand gestures in order to cast the spell. Raistlin Majere cast this spell upon the Companions in order to save Wren and Pytr from the mage Rieve. References
