Mentalism LyceumArticle written by AmbroThe Mentalism Lyceum is one of the nine crystal domes of the Citadel of Light. It is connected to the Meditation Lyceum and Spiritualism Lyceum by two pairs of hallways called arcades. Mystic teachings in the Mentalism Lyceum specialize in the mystic sphere of mentalism. The dome houses lecture halls, residential quarters, training rooms that have been enchanted under the guidance of the Sage to make studying mentalism easier, and a large library. Mystics that specialize in mentalism will live in the residential quarters of this dome. The library houses many books related to mysticism and personal accounts of traveling mystics that have encountered unusual uses of mysticism. This lyceum also functions as a school for orphans and for those seeking an advanced education. Pre War of SoulsThe Sage took a great interest in the library. He would spend at least four months of every year traveling Ansalon to add to it. Beryllinthranox's AttackIn 421 AC, the Green Dragon Beryllinthranox and her forces attacked the Citadel of Light. During this attack, all the domes became at least partially uninhabitable and many of the books in the library were destroyed. Post War of SoulsThe Citadel's reconstruction began almost immediately under the guidance of Cassandra Renay and Jemtal Oermann. The Great Library of Palanthas sent a group of Aesthetics to the Citadel. They came with a collection of books to donate to the rebuilt library. In return for this, the Citadel of Light allowed a few to remain to work the library and to care for a small, private shrine to Gilean. The Citadel's library is now lead by the Aesthetic Willard Bayard. References
