Transmutation

The school of transmutation focuses on spells that modify one's surroundings, or an individual, with magical energy. Some notable transmutation spells involve the transformation of others, enlarging or reducing their size, or shapechanging.

In earlier editions of the Dragonlance game, transmutation was known as the school of Alteration, and was the exclusive province of the Red Robes. In the current edition of the game, Red Robes make the best transmuters, but transmutation magic is available to all three orders of wizards (and other spell casters, of course).
