RavenscarArticle written by trogers81Ravenscar was a small town located in the province of Heartlund in Solamnia, 15 miles north of the city of Elmwood. The town of Ravenscar was mostly a Human town, made up of ramshackle of rotted wood buildings and the dirt roads. Due to the violent nature of the citizens here, building ownership tended to change often so it is rare if a sign ever graces a building or business. Kender are rarely seen in the town of Ravenscar. Around the outskirts of Ravenscar are barn-like structures used to hold the fighting animals of the Pit. The wooden doors of the barns have been replaced with heavy iron gates and bars have replaced the windows. Inside the holding barns, the dim lights reveal a narrow dirt walkway covered in straw. The walkway leads down past the iron cages used to contain the animals. History of RavenscarRavenscar was originally created around 1780 PC as a place where mercenaries gambled and fought, awaiting orders from the evil sorceress, Asvoria who lived in the nearby Cairngorn Keep. Once armies moved against the sorceress' keep and Asvoria was killed, her mercenaries took the small town of Ravenscar for themselves and continued in their gambling and debauchery. Not much is known of the leadership of Ravenscar. One of the known rulers immediately after the War of the Lance was a half-ogre named Bolthor. The short-tempered half-ogre had two Kagonesti as his personal bodyguards. Places of RavenscarReferences
