Golden Whale

The Golden Whale (? PC - ? AC) is a huge leviathan that lives beneath the Turbidus Ocean near the Dragon Isles. The skin of it is as bright as a polished gold coin; it has two front fins, a mouth big enough to swallow a thirty-foot ship whole, and breathes out a gas to make things forget it has even met the leviathan.

The whale lives under a huge coral reef outside of the Dragon Isles. In this reef is a huge grotto that is fill with many, many sparkling gems and other valuables. Even though it is huge and looks intimidating, it actually has an intense curiosity about the races above the ocean. Even though it is curious, it is extremely shy and easily frightened. When storms it the surface, the whale will rise up and swallow a ship whole if it is thirty feet or less in length, or just the sailors that have fallen overboard.

It will then take the ship and sailors to safety beneath the ocean to its grotto, and keep them safe there while the storm churns up above. Once the storm passes, it will bring the ship and sailors back to the surface and a soothing gas will come from its blowhole to make the people on the ship forget it helped them.

Age of Dreams

It is said in Dargonesti lore that the Golden Whale was the one whom showed them to the Dragon Isles. There they founded the city of Darthalla.
