Misty Isle (Dragon Isles)Article written by Kranar DroginMisty Isle, also known as the Isle of Dragons, is the largest and grandest of all the isles in the Dragon Isles. It is located in the middle of Heart in the west, Mind in the northeast, Alarl in the east, and Jaentarth to the south. This isle is a haven for all Metallic Dragons of Krynn, and boasts the only true metropolis in Aurialastican. The isle is covered with every type of land feature that all the other isles have. They have two very high, snow-capped mountain ranges that travel from east to west and meet at each coastline. The coastlines range from white sandy beaches, to high cliffs where landfall would be impossible. The island has several deep fjords that go into the isle, and there are many freshwater streams and rivers that flow into the ocean, but not many freshwater lakes. There are deep, verdant forests along the coastlines, but a person is able to walk through them with little trouble. Many roads crisscross throughout the isle, with many villages located at the crossroads of these roads. Food is plentiful, with many great herds of deer and buffalo, and plenty of fresh fruits can be harvested. Even though the entire isle is populated by all metallic dragons, chiefly the Silver Dragons and Gold Dragons rule here. Gold primarily stay in the city of Aurialastican, while in the wilds the silvers watch over all that goes on there. In the city of Aurialastican, all the major races of Ansalon can be found here, while in the wilds you can find tribes of kyrie, huldrefolk, and shadowpeople.
