Axel Slateshoulders (? - 383 AC) was the father to Belicia Felixia Slateshoulders, and a veteran captain of many an epic campaign and commander of the Hylar Home Army. He was known to be grizzled, sturdy, and had irreversible gout in his foot and so wasn't able to follow his High King to battle Chaos in the Chaos War. When the war came to Thorbardin, Axel took on Zarak Thuul by himself in order to buy time for the others to escape. He was killed in that battle, giving his life to buy them time.
