Brightfield was a farming village, which prior to the coming of Malystryx in the Age of Mortals, was the center of trade and agriculture in Balifor. Located southwest of Flotsam, it sat as a way station between Khur and Balifor. During the War of the Lance, the village was claimed by the Dragonarmies who used its produce to feed the troops of the armies, and enslaved the farmers to do their bidding. Following the war, the residents of Brightfield were free once more to till their fields and work the earth. However during the Age of Mortals, with the coming of the dragon Malystryx, the crops and village of Brightfield was destroyed when she created the Desolation. References
