Thorne Shape-ShifterArticle written by Kranar Drogin & DarcwulfThorne Shape-Shifter (? - 80 AC) was known as a Red Robe Wizard who had the uncanny ability to change into a wolf one time a year. It was actually, more of a curse, and during this night his two friends Guarinn Hammerfell and Roulant Potter sought to end the curse by killing him. Originally Tam Potter was the one who was hunting him, but he had to pass it on to his son Roulant upon his death. Normally, he ran a herbalist business from his village.
He was known to have had sandy-blond hair, short close-cropped beard, and been nondescript. He wore the Red Robes, which he liked to wear loose and open, more of a long coat. He was not considered a lycanthrope, with any special vulnerability to silver. CursedIn the autumn of 50 AC, Thorne was to marry his love Mariel in their village of Dimmin in the Kharolis Mountains, between Qualinesti and Thorbardin. A Black Robe mage defiled Thorne's bride, which caused Thorne to become enraged. In the form of a dire wolf he attacked and killed the Black Robe, which brought a curse down upon himself, Tam and Guarinn from the Black Robe. One time a year he would revert to a dire wolf and go on the hunt for innocents during the autumn when the moons were full. Eventually though, Roulant and Guarinn were able to end the curse when Guarinn saw the love between Una and Roulant and their imminent deaths motivated him to kill the wolf, Thorne, his friend.
