Gray Wraith

Article written by Kranar Drogin

Gray Wraith (1 AC - 352 AC)was the former guardian of the Silver Arm of Ergoth in a temple in Qualinesti. It looked like a seething cloud of darkness with two green eyes that glow with a strange light. Its indistinct face was always turning from side to side searching for people who were trying to take the Silver Arm. When it caught sight of prey it would attack by first crying out then coming head on into the prey in a spiral.

Age of Might

Following the Third Dragon War and during the years before the Cataclysm, the Gray Wraith was a normal Qualinesti Elf Cleric living in a small temple near the city of Qualinost. There he along with his other fellow clerics of Good watched over the Silver Arm. In the days prior to the Cataclysm, all the other clerics of the temple were called away by their god, but the Gray Wraith who had lost his faith and didn't hold up to his responsibilities. When the Cataclysm finally struck, it destroyed the temple along with the Gray Wraith inside of it while he was in sight of the Silver Arm, which bound him to that artifact.

Age of Darkness

In the time following the Cataclysm in the new age called the Age of Darkness, the Gray Wraith was driven mad by his confinement to the ruined temple. There he stayed until an adventurer named Theros Ironfeld arrived in 351 AC and somehow acquired the Silver Arm for himself. It is unknown how he defeated the Gray Wraith, but it is known that he had to have done so. Otherwise, the Gray Wraith would have hunted him ceaselessly until it had gained back the Silver Arm.
