Slightly northeast of the ruins of Wallach in the Plains of Dust is a lone Vallenwood Tree known as World Tree (or Grandfather Tree). This enormous vallenwood tree is a miracle in itself in it's ability to grow so large and strong in the oppressive conditions of the Plains of Dust. The trunk of the tree itself is so broad that it takes one hundred men to encircle it and be able to link hands. Many believe that the World Tree is the physical manifestation of the god Zivilyn, upon the world of Krynn. The tree is rumored to grant visions and blessings to those found worthy and who meditate in it's shadow.

The World Tree is highly revered by the nomadic tribes and the local centaurs of the Plains of Dust, who also use the area as a meeting place.
