Balalana

Balalana (? - ? PC) was a beautiful woman, who in the ancient days before the lands of Ergoth were united, was the wife of the Lord of the Western Hundred. When the warlord Ackal Ergot rode the land and killed the other lords in order to unite all the tribes under him, he slew the Lord of the Western Hundred and took Balalana for himself. Once Ackal had united the land of Ergoth, proclaiming himself Emperor of Ergoth, Balalana became the first Empress of Ergoth.

The empress was kept within the walls of Ackal's fortress, in complete seclusion so that none of Ackal's enemies could get to her, and also so that no other man could lay a hand on her, ensuring that any children of Balalana's were his.
