Pakin Pretender

Article written by Uziel

The Pakin Pretender (? - 2416 PC) was an Ergothian lord who had designs on the throne of the Ergoth Empire. Tired of the Ackal lords who presided over the realm, the descendant of Pakin Zan raised an army to claim the throne for himself. The warlord called himself the Pakin Successor, but was popularly known as the Pakin Pretender by the Ackal forces.

His armies waged war with the Ackal forces, and were led in part by the fearsome Spannuth Grane. The loss of Spannuth in 2421 PC was the beginning of the end for the Pakin Pretender however. In 2416 PC, his armies were crushed altogether, and the Pakin noble tried to flee across the sea to Sancrist Isle. However the Ackal forces caught up with the Pakin Pretender and slew him. He was succeeded by three daughters, one of which Mellamy Zan, rose to some prominence in later years.
