After years of fighting during the Successors' War which raged from 2395 PC to 2352 PC, it was Pakin IV (? - 2288 PC) who emerged as the final victor. His Pakin forces had swept aside the Ackal armies and in 2352 PC, he assumed the throne of Ergoth. Pakin IV was dubbed as the "Pakin Successor" and was a direct descendant of the mighty Pakin Zan.

He ruled Ergoth firmly and well, minting his own coins and ensuring that the Ackal faction was unable to muster any resistance during his reign. It wasn't until his death in 2288 PC, that the Ackals were finally able regain the throne of Ergoth.
