Gwynned VArticle written by UzielDuring the latter stages of the Age of Might, relations continued to sour between the Empire of Ergoth and Istar, resulting in a series of proclamations and slanderous statements being issued to each nation in turn. In 118 PC, during the reign of Emperor Gwynned V (? - ? PC) of Ergoth, holy Istar issued a statement that listed the ruler of Ergoth as being evil.
Its statement was that "It is a sin to adopt a title more grand than king. Paladine is the Emperor of Dragons, and any who would adopt a similar title do belittle him". Emperor Gwynned V returned a statement that Istar's decrees meant nothing to him or the Ergothian citizens, and that the gods, not by mortals, can only judge virtue. However even though Gwynned V remained in power, even many Ergothians were swayed into following the Kingpriest of Istar. References
