Curathas Chaine (? AC - ? AC) was a respected and noble Silvanesti Elf, who was an officer in the Silvanesti army. He fell in love with the Silvanesti maiden Elinaeri. When Human bandits abducted his beloved, he led an assault on the humans' hideout. Defeating the bandits and rescuing Elinaeri, he brought her back to Silvanost. However he learnt that the humans had defiled his wife and she bore a half-elf child.

Despite this, Curathas determined to marry Elinaeri and he even accepted the child, which they named Palinthusian, realizing that it was not the child's fault for his heritage.
