Garad (? - ? AC) was an Ice Barbarian, who grew up in the arctic region of Icereach, before deciding to set out for adventure northwards. During his travels in Solamnia, he met with the Warrior-woman Deela uth Drastin, who he fell in love with. The lovers moved back to Garad's home in Icereach, where they were accepted by his tribe and settled down.

The two bore a daughter, which they named Kimmil, and after Deela passed away during the War of the Lance, Garad gave his blessing for his daughter to seek out her relatives, the uth Drastin's, in Solamnia.
