Arkan (? PC - 9000 PC) was the first Blue Dragon and one of the five Sons of Takhisis. He initially dwelt in the Khalkist Mountains, and then migrated to the hot climes of eastern Ansalon. Arkan consorted with Takhisis in one encounter, and she produced the first clutch of blue dragon eggs, which the goddess took into the Abyss for safekeeping. Takhisis ordered Arkan and his brothers to rise against the Daughters of Paladine, and the blue dragon was instrumental in the downfall of Querrasian and Tianaran. Arkan taunted the hot-tempered Querrasian and goaded her into chasing him into a trap, which led to the copper matriarch's death. He also assisted in the attack with his brothers on Tianaran, and was the one who killed the Silver Dragon, and made a necklace from her scales. In the final fight against the golden dragon Aurora, Arkan managed to cripple one of her wings with his lightning, and almost slew her. However in the face of impending doom, Aurora used her most powerful magic (a death spell) to defeat mighty Arkan. References
