Wyrmfather

Wyrmfather (ca. 9000 - 1018 PC) was one of the first children of Takhisis, and was a dragon that was trapped in the Silver Dragon Mountain by Kiri-Jolith many, many years ago. From this entrapment, Wyrmfather in the end became insane.

He was a dragon of immense proportions. Wyrmfather had a large head with jaws that were big enough to snap up a team of horses and swallow them in two bites and long wide teeth that are the size of man. He had a long dull gray body with little legs and white eyes that are completely blind, but has extraordinary hearing and sense of smell to make up for that. His breath weapon was fire.

Early Life

Before being trapped in the catacombs of the Silver Dragon Mountain, Wyrmfather used to roam freely across Ansalon. He was the first to heed the call of his god, Takhisis, and he fought the Gods of Light or any of their allies. Finally a battle ensued between Kiri-Jolith and Wyrmfather that lasted for over a year. While battling, they created mountains and destroyed mountains; seas became extremely rough from all the waves that were kicked up from the vibrations that were caused from their falling bodies. Finally, Kiri-Jolith defeats Wyrmfather when he made a mistake, and drew a mountain over him. This created the Silver Dragon Mountain and told Wyrmfather that he couldn't be freed until one of Kiri-Jolith's brethren freed him.

Over the years, many a person had come to defeat Wyrmfather, but he killed them all except for at least one. When Duncan Ironweaver came, Wyrmfather only bit off his arm. He attained a huge treasure horde, which included the Sword of Tears and a magic mirror that was able to teleport a person when they think of a place to go.

Third Dragon War

When Huma Dragonbane arrives in the catacombs of the Silver Dragon Mountain, this was the first person Wyrmfather had been able to talk to in three hundred years. The only thing he has been able to hear is the constant hammering by Duncan. At first Wyrmfather tried to kill this in insignificant Human named Huma, but then he tried to talk him into freeing him all to no avail and a battle between the two took place.

Wyrmfather was killed when he tried to eat Huma, and Huma stabbed him through the mouth with the Sword of Tears that went into his brain, killing him instantly. Later, Wyrmfather's body turned into Dragonmetal.
