Verden LeafglowArticle written by Kranar DroginVerden Leafglow (? - ? AC) was born as a Green Dragon, and as such she had shunned the sun, being a creature of stealth and deceit. She used to love the darkness of night, but when she changed to a dragon follower of Reorx, she found that she enjoyed the sun, and loved the warmth from the sun. Her specialties were infiltration and subversion. When Verden was born again in 352 AC, she was only twelve feet long. In a matter of weeks, she triples in size to thirty-six feet in length. Following her acceptance of Reorx as her god, her once bright green scales turn more of a rosy bronze color with a hint of green that would eventually fade away, and her eyes turned amber-green. She had talons the size of large swords and her head, which is scale-armored, was bristling with spikes. War of the LanceDuring the War of the Lance in 351 AC, Verden was largely involved in the invasion with the Dragonarmies. Verden was the one who paved the way for the destruction and capture of the Human city of Chaldis. While she was involved in the capture of the city, Verden hit with a saw-toothed disk and became trapped by rubble in the city when she crash-landed. When she called out for assistance, Flame Searclaw, her nemesis, simply laughed at her and left her for dead. She also realized that her self-stone fell from her body. Aghar took hostage Verden, when one of them found her self-stone and swallowed it. She then led the band of Aghar to their Promised Place in Xak Tsaroth. For doing this for the Aghar, she was allowed to have her self-stone back. She was then allowed to go free. Post-War of the LanceTakhisis comes before Verden, and told her that she failed the Dark Queen for assisting the 'lowest of the low'. For this, Takhisis rejects Verden as one of her own. She then showed an image of Verden's egg in a cave and tells her she will be reborn from this egg to serve the Aghar again. She will be powerless to hurt the gully dwarves of the Bulp Clan, and this will be her gaes for her failure. Takhisis then kills Verden in 352 AC, to be born again shortly after. Verden protected two Aghar the most, Lidda Bulp and Glitch I Bulp. When Flame again attacks against them all, she protected them while wearing a holy shield of Reorx on her chest. When flame directs his flames against the two gully dwarves, her gaes makes her protect the two, and in the process, she renounces her dark ways and asks Reorx for his protection and pledges to worship him from that point on. Reorx protected her from the breath weapon from Flame which allows Verden to an opportunity to get under his guard and crush his throat, killing him. Lidda then breaks the geas on Verden to allow her to live her own life now in service to Reorx. In 373 AC got involved with the battle between the Tarmish and Gelnia. She stops the battle by crushing catapults, breaking up men concentrations, and other military groups. For this, Reorx frees her of her pledge to him and she now is truly a free dragon for the first time in two lifetimes. All of her green coloring is gone from her body. References
