Sithel Silvanos

Sithel Silvanos (3716 PC - 2192 PC) was a Silvanesti Elf who became Speaker of the Stars following the death of his father Silvanos Goldeneye. He married Nirakina of Clan Silver Moon around 2655 PC, during the Second Dragon War. Together, they had twin sons, Sithas Silvanos and Kith-Kanan Silvanos. Sithel received the nickname, Sithel Twice-Blest or Sithel Twice-Blessed because twins are very rare in elven culture.

Sithel had silky blond hair that turned brittle and gray in his later years, and he had hazel eyes.

Early Years

Sithel assisted his father during the Second Dragon War before becoming Speaker. It isn't known if Sithel ever actually fought, or trained as a fighter. Following the war, Sithel caught delta fever in 2508 PC. He survived the terrible disease because of the efforts of an elf named Vedvedsica, a self-professed cleric of Gilean at the time.

Time Before Kinslayer War

Sithel chose Hermathya to marry Sithas, thinking this would bring more power to his house. Instead, it divided it when he found out his other son Kith-Kanan was secretly courting her. When Kith bared his sword during the announcement, Sithel was embarrassed as well as angry at Kith.

When peace talks took place between Thorbardin and the Empire of Ergoth, Sithel proceeded over the initial talks. As the talks continued he allowed Sithas to take over for him, slowly giving him more power and responsibility.

After a year's time, he allowed Sithas to call Kith back to the capital. There Sithel accept Kith's apology. Kith brokered peace between the three nations shortly after his return, so Sithel named him general of the armies that were to head west. There his son established a stronghold and named it Sithelbec in honor of Sithel. Sithel journeyed out to Sithelbec and went on a boar hunt, much to his misfortune.

Sithel was assassinated by an arrow fired by a Ergothian Human named Dremic in 2192 PC. His son Sithas took over as Speaker and the Kinslayer War began. Sithel was later memorialized by Kith-Kanan when he named one of the four towers in Qualinost after him as Sithel Tower in 1892 PC.
