Bay of Balifor

The Bay of Balifor or Balifor Bay separates Silvanesti and southern Khur from the area formerly known as Balifor but is now the Desolation. The bay is situated between the Khurman Sea to the north, and the Southern Courrain Ocean. The currents of the Southern Courrain Ocean run counter-clockwise from east to west along Ansalon's coast. The water is warmed while in the Bay of Balifor and when they collide with the cool air from the south they make for many storms in the ocean.

The Bay of Balifor once had numerous trade routes and was also heavily used for fishing. Malystryx poisoned the waters with her sorcery, killing all the fish in the waters and destroying several economies that relied on fish and trade through the bay. In the new age, there is hope that the devastation caused by the dragon will begin to recede.
