Edwin Crownguard

Edwin Crownguard (321 AC - 351 AC) was born the son of Kerwin Crownguard and his mother is unknown, and an uncle named Boniface Crownguard. Edwin had an older brother who was a famous Knight of the Rose named Derek Crownguard, and a young wife who's name is unknown that was left at Vingaard Keep with no children. Edwin had eyes there were bright and guileless, and a clear brow. He had a knack for healing the sick and injured with herb lore.

War of the Lance

Edwin Crownguard was a young Knight of Crown at the beginning of the War of the Lance, and believed in the gods of old. His personal heroes were Huma Dragonbane, Vinas Solamnus, and Berthel Brightblade. He led the younger Knights of Solamnia at Castle Crownguard to the defense of the Northwest Tower. There most of the young knights under him died while fighting a Blue Dragon attacking the castle. Edwin used his famous sword Trumbrand to stop a lighting bolt from the dragon, and he buries the sword into the neck of the dragon. He is then carried away by the dragon while still clutching on to the sword. It is unknown at this time what became of Edwin.
