Cryonisis

Article written by Uziel

Cryonisis (Birth: unknown), is a native dragon of Krynn, who was hatched several centuries before the Second Cataclysm. The female White Dragon was hatched from the same egg as the white dragon Frisindia, who has been her life-long companion ever since. On maturing into adulthood, Cryonisis dwelt in the Icereach for many years, which lay under the control of the powerful white dragon Sleet, former mount of the Dragon Highlord Feal-Thas. However during the Age of Mortals, Cryonisis and her partner Frisindia, decided to set about conquering the Icereach and claiming it for themselves.

The Dragon Purge

In 400 AC, in a bid to survive and usurp the mighty Sleet, Cryonisis and her kin dragon Frisindia, launched an attack upon the larger white dragon. The pair defeated and killed Sleet, and then systematically set about destroying any other dragon rivals in Icereach. Within a matter of months, Cryonisis and Frisindia had defeated every rival, and forced the rest of the dragons and Humans to acknowledge the pair as the rulers of Icereach. On conquering the realm, Cryonisis claimed the western half of Icereach as her chosen domain, whilst her kin-dragon chose the eastern half. In her frigid realm, both ice barbarians and thanoi serve Cryonisis, as well as a company of fierce Sivak Draconians and a small number of white dragons.

Through working with Frisindia, Cryonisis has managed to transform Icereach into a massive glacier which is growing by the day. Currently the white dragon is sending her subjects on searches to find holy weapons, since Icereach has become besieged by frost-wights. Of even greater concern to Cryonisis than the wights, has been the jealous eye of Gellidus, which has been watching the growth of Icereach for some time during the Age of Mortals.

Titles and Nicknames

Cryonisis is known by a couple of other names. She is often referred to as the White Wyrm, and is known to many humans simply as Ice.
