MNS Indestructible XVII

Article written by Kranar Drogin

MNS Indestructible XVII was a Class C Submersible Deepswimmer that was built by Gnomes. The ship, when completed, looks like like two ships placed deck to deck with iron plating covering the entire submersible and could hold twenty gnomes. The deck has two foot rails leading from it giving a person access to the bow. Just ahead of the mast are two pairs of fan-shaped things that make the submersible look like it has fins, and at the rear of the ship, the stern, is a six-bladed fan enclosed in a D-shaped rudder. Amidships is a conning tower while behind that is a deck with ropes, lines, and anchors.

Inside the submersible, the officer's cabins are located in the forward bridge on the main level. They are not large, but are accommodating and comfortable, while being paneled in browns and tans. It has a mess hall, a kitchen, a fabrication shop, and a sick bay. The rest of the crew are holed up in the community quarters that are beneath the bridge on the engineering level of the submersible. All of the ship has its own fire-suppression system. Some of the extras to the submersible is the Diving Bell and the Peerupitscope.

After sailing over many miles of ocean around Ansalon and traveling deep inside Krynn's earth, the submersible crash landed on the shore of Schallsea with only Conundrum being the only survivor in 421 AC (38 SC). Conundrum rebuilt the ship and named it the MNS Indestructible XVIII.

The first, and last, crew of the ship was as follows:

Brigg - Commodore
Snork - Navigator
Razmous Pinchpocket - Cartographer and Chief Acquisitions Officer
Hap-Troggensbottle - Marine Geology Specialist
Portlost - Chief Engineer & Chief Mishaps Officer
Conundrum - Ensign/Chief Officer in Charge of Seating
Grumdish - Security Officer
Bothy - Healer Officer
Cooky - Cook
Dnat - Ensign
Felthallow - Ensign
Ruark - Ensign
Rimbortion - Ensign
Gob - Ensign
Merliguttal - Ensign
Wigpillow - Ensign
Faldarten - Ensign
