"One Dragon, One Bane"

During the Third Dragon War, a secret group of highly trained elves and half-elves was formed. It was chartered to hunt down and kill important dragons. The members were remarkable warriors and magi. They were Dragonsbane. Schooled in the physiology and psychology of their prey, the Dragonsbane used stealth, deception and consummate planning to eliminate the dragons one by one. They left no trace, ensuring every death looked like an accident. The motto of the Dragonsbane was "One Dragon, One Bane."

Class Skills

The Dragonsbane class skills are: Balance (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Disable Device (Int), Disguise (Cha), Gather Information (Cha), Hide (Dex), Intuit Direction (Wis), Jump (Str), Knowledge (Arcane), Knowledge (Dragons), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Open Lock (Dex), Scry (Int), Search (Int), Sense Motive (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), Spot (Wis), Use Rope (Dex), Wilderness Lore (Wis).

Skill points per level: 4 + Int modifier.

Hit Die: d10

Class Features

All of the Following are class features of the Dragonsbane.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Dragonsbane is proficient with all Simple and Martial weapons, and light and medium armors.

Spells: A Dragonsbane casts arcane spells from the list below. He is limited to a certain number of spells of each level per day, according to his class level. A Dragonsbane must prepare his spells in advance, and gains bonus spells based on his Intelligence. The Dragonsbane learns spell in the same manner as a wizard learning a new spell. A Dragonsbane may learn spells from the following list:

0-Level: Dancing Lights, Daze, Detect Magic, Ghost Sound, Mage Hand, Prestidigitation, Read Magic.

1st-Level: Charm person, Detect Secret Doors, Expeditious Retreat, Feather Fall, Grease, Identify, Mage Armor, Magic Weapon, Protection from Chaos\Evil\Law, Silent Image, Ventriloquism.

2nd-Level: Blur, Bull's Strength, Cat's Grace, Detect Thoughts, Invisibility, Levitate, Minor Image, Pyrotechnics, See Invisibility, Silence, Tongues.

3rd-Level: Clairaudience\Clairvoyance, Dispel Magic, Emotion, Greater Magic Weapon, Haste, Keen Edge, Major Image, Scrying.

Evasion: If exposed to any effect that normally allows character to make a reflex saving throw for half damage, the Dragonsbane takes no damage with a successful saving throw. Evasion can only be used when wearing light or no armor. This is an extraordinary ability. When avoiding a dragon's breath weapon the Dragonsbane also gains a +10 dodge bonus to his saving throw.

Dodge: The Dragonsbane gains this feat for free.

Uncanny Dodge: The Dragonsbane gains the extraordinary ability to react to danger before his senses would normally allow him to do so. He retains his Dex bonus to AC when (if any) regardless of being caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker. At 4th level and every 3 level there after the Dragonsbane gains a +10 dodge bonus to AC when in combat with a dragon.

Spell Resistance: The Dragonsbane gains Spell Resistance 20+ the Dragonsbane level against spells cast by dragons only.

Dragonquick: At 3rd level the Dragonsbane has learned to move faster in order to stay out of range of dragons. He gains +10 feet to his speed at 3rd level, and +20 feet to his speed at 8th level.

Improved Evasion: The Dragonsbane's Evasion ability improves at 5th level. He still takes no damage on a successful reflex saving throw, but henceforth he takes only half damage on a failed saving throw. When avoiding a dragon's breath weapon the Dragonsbane's dodge bonus increases to a +20 dodge bonus to his saving throw (this replaces the +10 dodge bonus gained at 1st level).

Mindspeak: The Dragonsbane can form a telepathic link with a dragon. This link is the same as the spell Rary's Telepathic Bond. The Dragon is granted a will save DC 25 + the Dragonsbane's level + the Dragonsbane's Intelligence modifier.

Spelllink: At 9th level the Dragonsbane gains his most potent weapon, his may cast spells directly on the dragon through his mindlink regardless of range, and thereby bypassing the dragon's SR. The Dragon is granted any saves normally allowed by the spell but with a penalty equal to the Dragonsbane's Wisdom modifier and the Dragonsbane level.
