Derrin has shaggy, brown hair, and piercing blue eyes. He stays close to Elijayess, the Kagonesti elven ranger, looking up to him as some sort of hero. He has the keen ability to ferret out herbs and water. He also has a tendency to think of himself as a young wolf, howling at the moon and snarling in combat situations. He currently has no weaponry, nor does he have armor, being a former captive of the dragonspawn Sindra and ogre mage Gringolthan destined for their evil experiments.
When possible, he uses a long bow and longsword and wears leather armor.
