Berrak Blistergold washed ashore like much of the wreckage in the blood sea that finds it way to Flotsam's shores. Finding work as a blacksmith for quite some time, he happened upon a game of chance with stakes that made his beard tingle. With luck on his side, he walked away from the table with the deed to The Golden Goose, one of the largest taverns and gambling halls in Flotsam.
Although gruff in personality, he is more than willing to show newcomers hospitality when he hears the jingle of their coin purses as they walk through his doors. A game of chance is Berrak's answer to everything. If a patron does something offensive in his tavern, they roll dice to see what will become of the offender. If a patrol tries to negotiate a better deal on drinks or food, he also rolls dice and leaves it to chance. This has lead to The Golden Goose's success as a place where "Chance is the Rules".
In Your Campaign:
Berrak is a NPC from Spectre of Sorrows by Cam Banks. For more information on his role in the adventure please see p. 29 of the module.
