Description:

As the son of a Saifumi captain and a fierce Khurish priestess of the Sea Witch, Turin Khima is a mix of two worlds. His skin is lighter than most of his Saifumi kin and darker than that of the nomads who call the desert nation Khur their home. His eyes are bright green. The captain of the Perinchief is bald, but not by choice. A disease that nearly killed him as a child left him unable to grow hair. Living a life as a seaman on the open sea, Turin is a very athletic man. His smooth muscles tell of years of hard work aboard various sailing vessels.

Turin wears black trousers and a white cotton shirt that covers his chain shirt. He is rarely seen without the black long coat and worn tricorne given to him by his father when Turin was given captaincy of the Perinchief. Around his neck hangs an amulet with a pendant made of green stone with an emerald formed as a sea turtle's shell.

Turin is very much a child of the sea. He was born in his father's cabin and he has spent the majority of his life on the high seas. Years ago, Turin and his crew were captured by the notorious pirate Blackscalp and thrown in a dungeon to rot. After he was freed by agents of his employer, Turin vowed that he would never again set foot on land. So far, he's managed to uphold that vow.

Turin is content with living a simple life, carrying whatever goods his employer wishes to the many ports of Ansalon. He mostly keeps to himself and keeps dealings with people as short as possible. It may seem ironic, then, that he captains a merchant vessel, but he's very good at what he does and the sailors working under him respect him for that. Even his employer mostly leaves Turin alone, communicating with him through messengers.
