Alakar is a tall, burly man dressed in a flowing caftan of indigo, trimmed with black leather. He has dark eyes and a long flowing mustache that was once black, but is now streaked with silver, as is the thick mane of black hair on his head. A crimson scarf is wrapped around his head, pinned in place with a gaudy medallion of a large gold bear with ruby gemstone eyes.
Despite his name, Alakar has a loud and boisterous personality. He is always quick with a smile and and assuring pat on the back. He is personable and easily takes control of any situation. Alakar is a storyteller and loves to share his tales whenever possible. If he is offended he is quick to demand an apology, but he is not rash and will often look for a peaceful solution to a problem before pulling his sword. However, being a warrior at heart he is skilled enough to handle himself if a fight occurs.
Alakar is the leader of one of the nomadic tribes of the Mikku in Khur. Among his people he is a renowned storyteller, con-man, accomplished rider and warrior, all traits that are honored among his people. Alakar recently lost his daughter Uleena when she was killed in an avalanche near the Ruins of Hurim. The loss devastated him, but he continued on with his life to honor her memory instead of falling into despair. Since his daughter's death he has been a bit more solemn, but only his tribe seems to notice the difference.
