Lorekind suffers from myopia (near-sighted trait) and always has a worried expression on his face. His scholarly studies have not left much time for him to develop his physique. His shoulder length black hair is receding at the forehead.
Lorekind is a lover of knowledge and learning. He discovered within himself the talent to wield the forces of mysticism and primal sorcery. His near-sightedness makes him leery of traveling, but in order to learn more about the ambient magic of Krynn he wields he has had to undertake several long journeys. He first studied with Goldmoon at the Citadel of Light, before moving to Gunthar and studying primal sorcery with a former white robed wizard named Raltha. While residing in Gunthar, Lorekind became friends with a young Solamnic Knight named Angar Moonsteel. Both of them shared a penchant for receiving visions in their dreams. Lorekind once aspired to knighthood before his eyesight began to fail. Angar and his sister Britta, also a knight, serve as reminders to his lost dream of knighthood. His interest in the history of Krynn has won him the friendship of the half- Silvanesti bard, Mithralas Nightsinger, whose knowledge of the legends of Krynn surpasses Lorekind's own.
I have built Lorekind (and the other Moonsteel Rising characters) using eight points for abilities rather than the standard six points. I have also opted, in most cases, to use the d20 skills list; especially the Knowledge skills. Those who recognize Lorekind for Moonsteel Rising may ask, "What simulates his knowledge of Animism?" The answer is nothing. I have opted to leave that out because of the limited number of feats. Players who wish to use his Animism abilities will need to spend a Conviction point to do so.
