His black mane hangs loose over his shoulders. He wears his chain mail over his normal clothes and keeps his axe near his side. PersonalityCinmak maintains a friendly demeanor, despite his early maltreatment. He feels at home in the Imperial Army and his friends welcome his presence. Countering this side however, is his sense of honor. Holding grudges over the most petty of offenses, until the offending party makes amends. He is cautious around clerics of Sargas, as most view him with a mixture of distrust and jealousy. But he does not fear them, because he knows Sargas' hand will protect him if needed. BackgroundBorn a slave in the service of the local Temple of Sargas, Cinmak's early life was not pleasant. He spend his youth doing any grueling and often disgusting task his masters desired. High Priest Heghan es-Copak was particularly brutal in his abuse of Cinmak. One night, after a round of torture from the high priest, Cinmak entered the sanctuary and prayed to Sargas asking for the strength to slay his tormentors. On completing his prayer, Cinmak was amazed to see the torches in the sconces on the walls all flared at once, in brilliant light. He took this to be a sign from Sargas that his prayer had been answered. The second ranking priest, Cholan es-Mertha overheard the prayer and crept silently to see who had the audacity to plot against the High Priest. Seeing Cinmak, Cholan almost laughed out loud, until he say the torches flare. Cholan, realizing that Cinmak was favored of Sargas, quickly intercede to turn him to his own advantage. He secretly trained and encouraged Cinmak. He informed Cinmak that if he challenged Heghan to fight, Heghan would have to accept. He also promised Cinmak his freedom as well as Heghan's treasure, if he succeeded. The day of the challenge, Sargas' favored Cinmak yet again. Sargas' divine will imbued Cinmak's weapons and armor and cursed Heghan's, allowing Cinmak an easy victory over the priest. Standing over the body of Heghan, he turned to Cholan and shouted "Vengeance and Freedom are MINE!" and with that he scooped up Heghan's armor and axe and left the temple for good. Months later he joined the Imperial Army and was sent as part of the invasion of Silvanost. He currently hold the rank of sergeant and enjoys the military life.
