Finn is a tall man standing 6'2" inches tall and of a slender wiry build, all muscle and sinew. Due to the encounter with the shadow wight Finn's face and head were hideously scarred. He wears a white leather mask of his own creation, that covers his head entirely. His most striking feature can still be seen though, his eyes. Before the encounter with the shadow wight they were an ordinary blue now they are a solid black, whites and irises both, except for when wields his arcane might, then they glow a fiendish red.
Finn is the only child of an unknown kagonesti warrior woman and a human druid. The two were close comrades and friends to Finn the human ranger who helped in the fight to regain the dwarven Kingsword Stormblade and thus they named their first born son after him. Finn never met his namesake, but he secretly believes that Finn was in fact his mother's brother – his uncle, although he has no evidence to support this supposition. His parents were veteran heroes of the War of the Lance and had Finn twelve or so before the Chaos war. The young family were visiting a small town Abanasinia when a shadow wight and a fire dragon attacked. Finn's parents aided by some of the villagers, managed to slay the fiends with nature magic and a footman's dragonlance, but lost their lives in the process. Finn witnessed their deaths, but as is the way with these creatures he has no memory of them, a fact which still grieves him to this day. As the only token of respect for his fallen parents that Finn could think of, he assumed the name Finn O'deFaellan. O'deFaellan means without family or clan in an old Kagonesti dialect.
His close encounter with the spawn of chaos forever left its mark on Finn, enabling him to wield arcane energies in a fashion that few on Krynn had ever before. Finn became a warlock, a person tainted by the foul aspect of chaos that ravished Krynn during the Summer of Chaos. Finn, joined by Jolene Swiftwing, a half-kender ranger herself a victim of a shadow wight's curse, have taken it upon themselves to seek out and hunt down the remaining creatures of chaos, so no others will ever feel the absence of loved ones in the way they both do. As the duo seeks out their quarry, they supplement their income by taking occasional bounty hunting jobs, but their first and foremost goal is the extermination of Chaos' minions.
