Basalt is hard to see underneath his full plate armour and treasured shield, but he stands 4-foot-1 and weighs 200 pounds. He is otherwise a typical hale and hearty hill dwarf with a full beard and ruddy complexion.
Personality and Background:
Basalt is the nephew of the famous hero of the lance flint Fireforge. Basalt strives to live up to the standard set by his uncle. He is torn by loneliness for his wife Hildy who maintains the family Inn in Hillhome, but felt compelled to offer his services to the Knights of Solamania when war threatened.
He is overwhelmed by the sense that the world is doomed, but has vowed to do all he can to return to Hildy and Hillhome. Still, helping solamanic families is still his top priority at this point, and has assisted Sir Bradwick and Sir Ogrebane with their endeavours.
