Grogan has lightly tanned skin and grey hair and can normally wears a set of matching boots, gloves and coat, the latter emblazoned with the holy symbol of Reorx over his set of chain mail. His most notable facial feature is his eyes; they are coal-black and twinkle with his moods.
For a dwarf, Grogan is unusually upbeat and enthusiastic. Regardless to what situation he finds himself in, he can always be relied on to come up with a course of action. Grogan can be grumpy, normally when he sees dwarves giving up on hope and giving up their faith in the gods. Grogan uses witty verses and proverbs to try to get others to think about their intended actions.
In Your Campaign:
Grogan can be introduced into your campiagn with ease. He could be used as a healer, offering his healing spells and knowledge to a party of adventurers that are in the Pax Tharkas area. Or, he could be employed by a party to create some much needed armour and weapons, all for the proper cost and a small tithe to the fund of the church, of course. Grogan can also be used to supply a party of advneturers with local information, he is well travelled and likes to talk with exotic characters.
Phylactery of Long Years (Major Wondrous Item)
This strange device, normally fashioned to be worn around the wearers head or wrist, contains a small enclosure filled with sacred texts and passages. While worn, the wearer finds his aging process slowed down.
When initially worn, the phylactery stops the aging process for the wearer for 2 years per the wearer's HD (to a maximum of 40 years) or until the phylactery is removed, whichever happens first. Once that time has elasped, the wearer resumes aging as normal.
The effects of the phylactery of long years is a permanent effect and cannot be dispelled by normal means. The effects can be reversed by means of a wish or like spell or the application of the greater river's ravages spell.
