Dwyam has golden skin, pale, almost white hair, and lean arms, evidence of her many years on the road and on the battlefield. She prefers colorful clothes and her leather armor is usually decorated all sorts of gems and bangles.
Dwyam is a loner. She prefers to adventure on her own, as opposed to working with a group of people. This is due to both her confidence in her own skills and her dislike of authority. Dwyam finds it hard to take orders from others and this is why her partnership with Balagast works so well; they are equals.
Dwyam has been a loner most of her adult life, abandoning her tribe shortly after an ice killed her mate. She lived alone for years, offering her skills with a weapon to merchants, mercenaries and others who needed her services.
Then came the War of the Lance. Dwyam worked with a caravan transporting payrolls to Tarsis, It was with one of these caravans that Dwyam first came into contact with the Blue Dragonarmy. Dwyam soon joined the Dark Queen's army and worked for the Highlords. The job paid well.
One day, while marching north toward Palanthas, Dwyam encountered a creature which would have a huge impact on her life. Her platoon was hunting gnomes in the hills when they encountered a badger. This was no ordinary badger, however, for it talked to Dwyam. Intrigued by the creature, the dragonarmy officer wanted to talk to it. However, her troops would have none of it and they attacked the badger.
Dwyam left the scene but before she had gotten far, she heard an immense roar. Returning to where her troops used to be, she found instead a bronze dragon. Her ogre troops were nowhere to be seen. She dropped to her knees and swore her allegiance.
Since her encounter with Balagast the Bronze, Dwyam undergone a change in her view on life. She sees the injustice the dragonarmies commit every day and she has vowed to fight against that injustice. The former dragonarmy officer and the bronze dragon have formed an effective partnership, harrying the Dark Queen's forces and gaining the attention of the Blue Lady.
