This squat, beedy-eyed dark dwarf has faintly sallow skin, that no amount of time and exposure to the sun seems to darken or make look healthier. He comes from a long line of great dark dwarves, and has none of the prestige that his forbears had. A fact that he covers over when talking to others, especially non-dwarves. In these rambles, he is a mighty wizard who has great power now, and greater power to come.
Zagreb excels in boasting about his achievements, willingly telling any and all who will listen of the tasks that he has done. Like many of his dark dwarf brethren, Zagreb has a fondness for steel and gems, and nearly all things that have a price. He has been known to rob his own company while they fight a desperate battle.
It was due to this lust for wealth that forced Zagreb out of the mountain home of his clan. Even though he hated the bright light, the rewards of going outweighed the impairment to his sight. He quickly learned to master arcane energies and went on to found a couple of minor adventuring companies, the latest travelling out on to the Plains of Solamnia looking for a library of lost secrets. Almost too good to pass up for this greedy dwarf.
