Despite Riverwind's low caste in the Que-Shu tribe, this shepherd from the plains sought Goldmoon's hand in marriage. Her father Arrowthorn sent Riverwind on an impossible quest to gain her hand, despite Goldmoon's growing feelings for the plainsman. The Que-Shu were surprised when Riverwind presented Goldmoon with the Blue Crystal Staff, proof that his quest (to discover the Ancient Gods) had succeeded. The Que-Shu very nearly killed Riverwind and Goldmoon, but the newly discovered staff somehow saved their lives.
