Knight of the LilyD&D 4e Rulesby Trampas WhitemanIndependence breeds chaos. Submit and be strong. Knights of the Lily are evil counterparts to the Solamnic Knights of the Crown. They are an order of blackguards within the Dark Knights, committed to world conquest. They are taught that strength is achieved through conformity and uniformity; free-thinking and individuality result in chaos. Heroic Knight of the LilyClass: Blackguard At heroic levels, Knights of the Lily are typically members of the blackguard class. During this time, a blackguard must prove himself as a Squire of the Lily before taking the Crucible of Darkness (formerly the Test of Takhisis - see p. 90 of Knightly Orders of Ansalon for more details). The Crucible may be taken at any time during the heroic tier, or may be considered a part of the character's background prior to 1st level at the dungeon master's discretion. Knight of the Lily Paragon PathAt paragon levels, the blackguard becomes a paragon of his order by taking on the Knight of the Lily paragon path. It is at the paragon tier that the blackguard receives advanced training founded in the Blood Oath and the Code.
