The Candlelight HoopakD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby KendermageLore:Characters with either Knowledge (local) or Knowledge (arcana) can gain the following information.
DC 20: The Candlelight Hoopak is believed to have been created during the War of the Lance for the first kender cleric of Fizban. It is said to be able to light the bearer's path. Description:The Candlelight Hoopak is a miniature hoopak crafted of ironwood. It is about 10 inches long and looks every bit like a regular hoopak, even down to the sling and steel shod end. Effect:When the Candlelight Hoopak is rubbed it begins to glow and sheds light as a candle creating shadowy illumination in a five foot radius around the bearer. The illumination lasts for one hour at which time the magic must be activated again. There is no limit to the number of times it can be activated per day. If there is any truth to the legends of their being other powers within the Candlelight Hoopak they have yet to be activated. Activating the Candlelight Hoopak is a move action.
