DragontouchedD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby NighttreeDragontouched is an acquired template that can be added to any humanoid (but not monstrous humanoid) referred to hereafter as the base creature. The dragon infuses the character with a shard of their essence, granting the character a fraction of the Dragons potential power. Already rare to begin with, it is extremely rare, for a Dragon of evil alignment to share of itself in this manner. Evil Dragons are far more likely to create "Spawn" or "Vassal's" which they can manipulate to a greater degree, without so intimate a cost to themselves, thus almost all Dragontouched are created by Metallic (or on rare occasion Orthlox) Dragons. Some calculations based on Dragon type providing the template are required. These calculations are always made using the statistics of an "Adult" dragon of the appropriate kind (regardless of actual age category of Dragon providing the shard). Size and Type: The creature's type fluctuates between Human and Dragon (whichever is most advantageous for the circumstances). Size is unchanged. Do not recalculate base attack bonus or saves. Special Qualities:Dragonsight (EX): You gain Lowlight vision (2x normal range), and Darkvision 60ft.
