Bone to/from Steel SpellsD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby Clive SquireTransmute Bone to SteelTransmutation You transform any object made of bone as strong as steel. This spell can be cast on a corpse prior to animation. The object gains a +2 bonus to Fortitude saving throws and a +7 bonus to natural armour. The object can now be affected by any attacks that effect metal. Material Components: A pinch of bone and some steel filings. Transmute Steel to BoneTransmutation As transmute bone to steel, except as noted. The metal object becomes brittle and dry as bone. Metal armours lose most of the bonuses given to AC, giving only the same as studded leather, +3. Metallic weapons deal –2 points of damage per dice of damage, to 1 minimum.
