Titan's HoundD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby SephZeroMedium Magical Beast The creature before you superficially resembles a monitor lizard, but its neck has been elongated and its eyes flash with intelligence. Along with its scales, the body is sheathed in body plates that shift as the creature moves with simple grace. They are the magical creation of the Ogre Titan breed in order to track down the scattered elves across Ansalon to bring back to their master. Created from the native reptilian in the region, they are enhanced with quick speed, intelligence, and uncanny tracking sense to hunt their prey. They are often pair with Ogres in their hunt, but it is question who is really leading the hunt at times. Ogre Titan's Hound can not speak, but understand Ogre. CombatThe ogre titan's hound is very much a team fighter, often trying to move itself into flanking position in order to take advantage of its improved flanker quality. If fighting against an elf it tries to inflict some nonlethal damage in order to ensure the safe capture of its prey. Detect Elf (Su): The ogre titan's hound can detect elf at will, this ability functions like detect undead except it can detect those with elven subtype. The caster level is equal to the racial Hit Dice. Improved Flanker (Ex): When the ogre titan's hound is flanking an opponent it gets a +3 bonus to attack roll instead of the normal +2 to hit. Trip (Ex): An ogre titan's hound that hits with a bite attack can attempt to trip the opponent (+4 check modifiers) as a free action without making a touch attack or provoking an attack of opportunity. If the attempt fails, the opponent cannot react to trip the titan's hound. Racial Skill Bonuses: *An ogre titan's hound gains a +4 racial bonus on Survival checks when tracking by scent.
