'WariD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby James O'RanceSize and Type The 'wari is a ground-dwelling bird that foragesfor insects, grains, and small rodents. A creature of legendary stupidity, 'wari are flightless birds that stand six feet tall, with a bulky body and bronze, gold, or blue feathers. Combat'Wari can strike at opponents with their clawed feet, but are generally considered harmless; they are so dim-witted that they allow wolves and other predators to mingle with their flocks. However, when spooked by loud noises or by the odour of blood, 'wari can stampede. These stampedes can last for days, as the panicked birds simply keep running. Trample (Ex): A 'wari can trample Medium-size or smaller creatures for 2d4+2 damage. Opponents who do not make attacks of opportunity against the 'wari can attempt a Reflex save (DC 13) to halve the damage.
