Galan Dracos's Bonefold

Chaos
Level: Sor/Wiz 6
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./lvl)
Target: One humanoid of Medium or smaller size
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Fortitude half
Spell Resistance: No

This spell was created to cause pain and suffering. When a victim of this spell fails his saving throw, the magic causes his bones to fold and break in a very unnatural way. The spell applies a terrible amount of pressure to the victim's bones, forcing them to bend. Bonefold deals 5d8 points of damage, plus 1d8 damage per level of the caster (maximum 15d8). If the victim suffers damage equal to or exceeding one-half his current hit point total, he must make a second Fortitude save or break bones. Roll 2d6 and consult the following table to determine which bones have broken:

  • 2 - An arm and some ribs are fractured.
  • 3 - A leg and shoulder are fractured.
  • 4 - An arm is broken in multiple places.
  • 5 – A hip and its corresponding leg are broken.
  • 6 – Both arms are torn off the body.
  • 7 - Both legs are broken.
  • 8 - All ribs on one side of the body are broken and exposed.
  • 9 - Both legs are ripped off at the knees.
  • 10 – The spine is torn, exposing the bone in multiple places.
  • 11 – The victim's neck and skull are cracked.
  • 12 – Numerous fractures and breaks about the body; the victim takes an additional 5d6 points of damage.

Notes: This is one of the most corrupt renegade spells ever made. Any conclave wizard caught with this spell in his spellbook will be severely punished. Furthermore, this spell cannot be learned without the Use Chaos Sense feat. It is believed that Galan Dracos ended the life of Magius with this spell.
