Alternate Clerics of the Holy OrdersD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby Dur-MellonNormally, clerics can spontaneously cure or inflict wounds (as described in the Player's Handbook). This may cause sameness in clerical abilities. I have suggested a remedy. This option allows clerics to spontaneously cast those spells which are on their domain lists. For example, only clerics with the healing domain can cast healing spells spontaneously. Since a cleric has at least two domains, he/she can choose between two spells per spell level, which he/she can cast spontaneously. (Clerics with a third domain - perhaps due to a prestige class - can choose between three spells per spell level). Thus, clerics of Mishakal are expert healers, clerics of Kiri-Jolith are naturally good war-priests, and so on. Every other aspect of the cleric class remains unchanged.
