Talisman of TruthD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby DarthsylverTalisman of Truth: This talisman can come in many shapes and designs, depending on the individual tastes of the creature responsible for its creation. Usually the talisman is made of precious metal and hangs from a cord. Severing the cord destroys the power of the talisman. While wearing the talisman, it becomes almost impossible to tell any false statement. The wearer can be as evasive and misleading as he wishes, but cannot make any directly false statements. When the talisman is first placed on a creature it is granted a Will save (DC 13) to avoid the talisman's effects. If the save is failed, the creature cannot tell any outright lie while wearing the talisman. If the talisman is removed and then placed back on the creature, it is granted another Will save. Creatures immune to enchantment or mind-affecting spells or effects are immune to the effects of the talisman.
