Charm of RunningD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby DarthsylverCharm of Running: This amulet has a golden chain with a silver pendant in the shape of a running ogre. This amulet grants the wearer an immense level of endurance. The wearer automatically succeeds at any Fortitude saves imposed by forced marches or continuous running. The wearer also only needs to eat one half the amount of food normally required. When removed the amulet causes temporary Constitution damage to the wearer equal to 1 point for every hour of being worn. If this reduces the wearer's Constitution to 0 the character does not die but goes into a coma and now heals Constitution damage at a rate of 1 point per month. Most ogres do not take off the necklace as this is a known side effect of wearing the necklace. What sort of longterm effects exist from wearing the necklace is unknown.
