D&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rules

Author's Note: I've seen quite a few opinions about the domain lists for deities in the Dragonlance Campaign Setting (DLCS). Often these are comments such as God X needs another domain, Goddess X should have this one instead of that one, etc. So, I decided to make a whole list of additional/alternate domains for the different deities.

Additional Domains:

A fourth domain was added to each deity that only has three, along with the reason I'm using it. All of these domains are in the Player's Handbook or the DLCS.

Habbakuk: Passion. It's in his portfolio.

Kiri-Jolith: Law. He's lawful, and he's about the only lawful deity that doesn't have it, and no other domains fit.

Majere: Protection. Really, no others fit him.

Gilean: Law. Again, no others fit.

Reorx: Strength. An important value for the dwarves, his primary followers.

Shinare: Community. As it says in her description, followers of Shinare work for the betterment of their community.

Sirrion: I would be inclined to say Liberation, although his portfolio includes fighters, so maybe War, although I don't think this fits him at all.

Zivilyn: Well, I didn't want to have to do this, but I think Mentalism is really the only one that fits him.

Chemosh: Chaos. The only other one that would fit would be Necromancy, and only with some craziness involved that I'd rather not go into.

Hiddukel: Chaos. Again, no better fit.

Morgion: Honestly, I think Knowledge might work. Planning is in his portfolio, and Knowledge is the closest thing to that.

Alternate Domains:

These are domains from other published materials that could be used for each deity. Right now, the only source is the Book of Exalted Deeds, although many of the domains could be used for gods other than the gods of Light. Unlike in the first part of this treatise, I will name the domain and which gods could have it.

Celestial: Any good god.

Community (if someone likes this version better than the one listed in the DLCS): Mishakal, Shinare.

Endurance: Reorx.

Fey: Chislev.

Glory: Kiri-Jolith.

Herald: Branchala.

Joy: Branchala, Mishakal.

Pleasure: Branchala, Mishakal.

Wrath: Kiri-Jolith.
