NightstarD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby Druid_woodsIn the hands of a good-aligned creature, Nightstar functions as a +3 heavy mace. However, in the hands of an evil cleric, Nightstar sheds an unholy glow and lets the wielder rebuke or command undead as if two levels higher. In addition, any good creature struck by Nightstar must make a Will save (DC 20 + damage dealt) or become engulfed by magical flame that lasts for 2d4 rounds. This unholy flame deals 1d4 points of damage per round and cannot be extinguished by any means, though the flame does not combust other materials.
